Miami Watercolor Society’s mission is to teach and promote watercolor painting. In our ongoing effort to follow our mission, every year with the help of our partners, we sponsor “Impressions in Watercolor” a juried art show, among students of all ages in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

The annual Impressions in Watercolor Student Show took place in November at the Alper JCC in Kendall.

Here are some highlights from the 2014 exhibition.

Many of our exhibiting students through the years have come through the art magnet program at Mays Conservatory of the Arts, working with Art teacher Gerald Obregon (shown below at this year’s show with a winning student). The program was featured on NBC6 on January 9, 2015.
